SPS held a highly successful half day seminar in Stirling on the 1st February 2008 to launch its new White Paper - Implementing McClelland: Learning from the Byatt Experience. Representatives from 30% of Scottish local authorities, Scotland Exel and the Scottish Executive braved the rough weather to hear highly topical presentations from SPS's Ken Cole and Rowena Ward who were supported by new associate Alexandra Ranson. The feed back from the event rated the sessions highly and there was a great deal of interest in attending any further events hosted by SPS.
The subsequent press release generated good articles in the Municipal Journal (3rd April 2008), Government Opportunities and Supply Management.
Feedback fron the White Paper has also been excellent with Ron Hardwick from The City of Edinburgh Council commenting - "I've just read the paper and it accords with most of my own views, especially those relating to cultural change and benefits realisation. Ken's White Paper resonates with me and I hope it receives due attention at the top of organisations like the council."
